NLC Quinte supports workers of Midtown Meats fire

When fire destroyed the Mitdtown Meats pork processing plan in Wellington, Prince Edward County, leaving 150 employees out of work, the NLC Team in Quinte donated funds to the Deseronto Transit Service to assist the unemployed workers who lacked transportation.

Susan Stolarchuk, Administrator of Deseronto Transit, offered their thanks to our Quinte team:
"Please express my gratitude to everyone involved with the decision to donate to Deseronto Transit. Transportation is a major barrier to employment for those that cannot afford a vehicle or for those who do not drive and we will definitely put the funds to good use ... Again, thanks for Northern Lights' generous donation!"
